Its Dussehra today and this post is obviously mandatory! 😀
Oh yes! After those 9 days of navratras, it’s this 10th day which is also known as a day of victory in Hindu community as today Lord Ram (the seventh avatar of Vishnu) killed Ravana (the king of ancient Sri Lanka) for the sins he attempted.
Dussehra or Dasha hara, what it is known as in Sanskrit has that special meaning, no actually meanings which are residing somewhere in every one of us, you too! Yes, you read it right and I know you will agree with me when you get to know those meanings which include Ahankara (ego), Swartha (Selfishness), Moha (Attachment), Amanavta (Cruelty), Anyaaya (Injustice), Kama Vasana (Lust), Krodha (Anger), Lobha (Greed), Mada (Overpride) and Matsara (Jealousy). And now I don’t think that there is any need left to explain all these, you know it yourself.
You know what, the bitter truth is that we all are living with that Ravana residing inside us and the better truth is that we all know this and can change it for better by being that Good person with good qualities. So, today on this occasion of Dussehra let us all take a pledge to do our best to kill that evil inside us and instead nurture that angelic us. 🙂
Have a Good Day! Take care <3
Cheers! to the new beginning! 🙂
